B&B Theatres Opening Soon in New Iberia, Louisiana

NEW IBERIA, La. - It's been over 3 years since The Grand 10 closed it's doors, leaving New Iberia residents nowhere to go watch movies. Well, now it seems all of that is about to change because movie night is coming back to New Iberia in a pretty big way.

B&B Theatres, a theater company based in Missouri, has announced they will be opening a new facility in New Iberia.

B&B Theatres Is Coming To New Iberia

The New Iberia project will mark B&B Theatres' first location in Louisiana.

B&B Theatres has announced plans to take over the former Grand 10 at the Bayou Landing Shopping Center, bringing a major renovation and a new movie theater experience to the New Iberia area.

The theater sits near North Lewis Street and Parkview Drive, and now, the Missouri-based B&B Theatres is preparing to give the 10-screen location a significant makeover.

According to the company's announcement, B&B has signed an agreement to take over and operate the theater while completing a substantial renovation of the existing facility.

That means moviegoers won't simply be getting the same old theater with a new name on the front.

B&B says the project is being designed to create a significantly upgraded moviegoing experience for people in New Iberia and the surrounding Acadiana area.

New Iberia Theater Will Get Heated Recliners

According to the B&B Theatres press release "The existing theatre will undergo a significant transformation as B&B reimagines the guest
experience with a comprehensive renovation plan. "

One of the biggest changes moviegoers can look forward to is heated recliner seating throughout the theater.

If you've ever spent two-plus hours sitting in an uncomfortable movie-theater seat, you already know why this is a pretty welcome upgrade.

The renovated New Iberia theater is also expected to feature two B&B Signature Screens.

According to B&B Theatres -

Step into a new level of movie magic with our Signature Screen, a premium auditorium designed to elevate every moment on screen. As the largest non-Grand Screen auditorium in our building, the Signature Screen brings you closer to the action with enhanced visuals, powerful sound, and a more immersive environment from the moment you take your seat.

More Food And Drinks Are Coming Too

B&B Theatres says the concession area will be completely redesigned, while expanded food options will also be added.

There's another interesting addition planned: a new bar.

That will give the New Iberia location a considerably different feel from the traditional movie theater experience many people remember at The Grand 10.

B&B Theatres has not yet announced an opening date for the New Iberia location, so for now there's no official date to circle on the calendar.

The company says additional details will be released as renovation plans continue to develop.

But the announcement confirms that the project is moving forward, and New Iberia will become B&B Theatres' first Louisiana location.
