This is the time of year when miracles happen, and this is surely one of those stories.

A group of NICU nurses at Mercy Hospital in St Louis came one number away from winning the $1.6 billion dollar Mega Millions jackpot last month. But they did win $10,000, which would have been split between the 126 nurses who pooled their resources to buy tickets. Instead of taking their $56 each, they decided to give the money to Nurse Gretchen Post and neonatologist Casey Orellana, their co workers.

According to Fox News, one of them had to pay for her son's funeral, who had just committed suicide, and one had a husband battling sarcoma cancer. Both were incredibly grateful. Read more about this amazing generosity from KMOV TV in St Louis, and see the nurses below.
