Officials: Iran Mistakenly Shot Down Ukrainian Passenger Plane
TEHRAN, Iran — American officials believe Iran shot down Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752, according to multiple reports.
Ukrainian officials said they are investigating several theories to explain the crash.
The plane, a Boeing 737-800, was carrying 176 passengers and crew when it crashed Wednesday near an airport in Iran’s capital, Tehran, state television reported. Nobody survived the crash, officials said.
