One Injured in Shooting on East Simcoe Street in Lafayette
One person was injured and taken to a local hospital last night in a shooting on East Simcoe Street in Lafayette.
Lafayette Police tell KATC that the shooting occurred in the 1600 block of the street around 10:15 pm last night.
Public Information Officer Wayne Griffin says one person was shot and received injuries in the upper torso. The victim was taken to a local hospital.
Police are searching for two suspects in connection with the shooting at this time.
Griffin says that the two suspects fled before officers arrived on the scene.
