Another day, another shooting. This time the incident occurred in Lafayette.

The Lafayette Police Department responded to an overnight shooting on E. Simcoe and Hines Street that left one victim hospitalized.

Officers were dispatched around 11:30 pm Thursday to a call of shots fired. Once police arrived, they found the victim with non-life-threatening injuries.

No suspects are in custody at this time and police did not release any other details.

The shooting remains under investigation and we'll bring you updates as new information becomes available.

This is the second shooting in as many nights in Acadiana. On Wednesday evening, one man was shot to death on Anderson Street in New Iberia.
