The big news was announced by the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo folks that Parker McCollum would be headlining the first night of the rodeo to get the 2023 event underway.

Parker McCollum played the rodeo last year and made a massive impression on the fans and the Rodeo Houston brass. In 2022, Parker played to 73,243 fans making it the fourth highest-paid rodeo/concert attendance in 2022.

Parker McCollum is pretty much a hometown boy when it comes to Houston. He is from Conroe, Texas which is a city just North of Houston by The Woodlands.

The 30-year-old Parker has already notched some big hits in his young career. He has already scored big hits with Pretty Heart, To Be Loved By You, and Handle On You.

Parker will be the opening act for Rodeo Houston 2023 when he plays on Tuesday, February 28th, 2023. Tickets for the show go on sale on Thursday, October 6th, 2022.

Rodeo Houston is not just a rodeo but an event. On top of having the roadeo and second-to-none concerts inside NRG Stadium, they have a bunch of other great things to do. They have a massive shopping area, livestock shows, and a carnival that takes up half of the stadium's parking lot.

So who else is scheduled to play at the 2023 version of Rodeo Houston you ask? According to the Rodeo Houston website,

The remaining 2023 RODEOHOUSTON entertainer lineup will be announced at a later date, as well as additional plans and the Opening Day schedule.
