On Thursday night we found out what we all knew since the New Orleans Pelicans won the NBA Draft Lottery. Now, it's finally official Zion Williamson is a New Orleans Pelican.

Zion has star power few players in the league can match and will immediately be the new face of a franchise that had a multitude of question marks during the season last year.

In his lone season at Duke, he averaged 22.3 points per game, nine rebounds, two blocks, and two steals. The athleticism and love for the game are unquestioned and he has shown that he can knock down a three when given the space. Now, he's not a knockdown shooter but that's something the Pelicans are hoping they can develop.

The Pelicans also made a deal with the Atlanta Hawks to trade them the 4th overall pick, 57th pick, a future 2nd round pick, and Solomon Hill. The Pelicans will receive the 8th pick, 17th, and 35th overall in the 2019 NBA Draft.
