Peoria Hockey Player Ryan Raven Still in Local Hospital — Icegators and Community Helping Out
During the first game of the SPHL playoffs last week against the Louisiana Icegators at the Cajundome, Peoria Riverman Ryan Raven was injured. He suffered a fractured vertebrae and had emergency surgery at a local hospital.
Ryan is currently still in the hospital and will remain here in town for quite some time. His family has flown in to be with him and staying at a local hotel.
Many of you have asked how you can help out. And now there are several ways for you to come through for Ryan and his family.
According to the Louisiana Icegators, you can give the following ways:
- Donate gift cards to area restaurants
- Donate to his gofundme account -- www.gofundme.com/ryanraven. This will help pay for his family's hotel, rental car, food and other necessities while they are in Lafayette. Donations will also assist with medical costs.
- If you would like to give Ryan cards or flowers, you may drop them off at the Icegators office and they will make deliveries once a day to his family.
