BATON ROUGE, La. (KMDL-FM) - After 65 years in business, a legendary name in dining is shutting down one of its Baton Rouge locations.

Piccadilly Closes Plank Road Location in Baton Rouge

The Piccadilly restaurant on Plank Road in the Delmont Village permanently closed on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

Company Explains Closure Decision

“This decision was not made lightly. We always consider a store closure our very last option, but it is sometimes necessary as we navigate the ever-changing environment of the restaurant industry,” the company said.

Other Capital City Locations Remain Open

If you love the nearly endless choices of Piccadilly when in the Capital City, don't worry -- several locations remain open.

Four other Piccadilly restaurants in the area remain open, including three in Baton Rouge and another in Denham Springs.

The hours are 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for the following locations:

  • 6406 Florida Blvd - Baton Rouge
  • 5474 Essen Lane - Baton Rouge
  • 3332 Sherwood Forest Blvd - Baton Rouge
  • 27156 Crossing Circle - Denham Springs

Acadiana and Statewide Piccadilly Restaurants Still Operating

If you want to enjoy Piccadilly in the Acadiana area, you're down to one location. One location remains at 100 Arnould Boulevard, right off Johnston Street in Lafayette.

Other Louisiana locations of Piccadilly include Metairie, Gretna, Monroe, and Shreveport.
