Popular Kaliste Saloom Intersection to Close for 5 Weeks

UPDATE: DOTD has released an important revision to Tuesday's announcement of the intersection closure - the T-Intersection will be moved east of its current location and the intersection will be controlled with a temporary ALL-WAY STOP condition.

As road construction across Lafayette Parish continues to hopefully improve our roads and the traffic flowing on them, you can add an often-used intersection to the list - Kaliste Saloom Road and E. Broussard Road.

Drivers will not be allowed to enter or exit Kaliste Saloom Road beginning Monday, February 3 at 9:00 a.m. until Monday, March 9 as the T-Intersection will be moved east of its current location. Drivers on Kaliste Saloom Road will have a stop condition. Through traffic on E. Broussard Road will be free flowing.

Drivers are to expect traffic delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes until the intersection is reopened.
