Rice and Gravy Cook off April 30

The Breaux Bridge Lions Club will sponsor their annual Rice and Gravy Cook off Saturday., April 30 at Parc du Pont on St Bernard Dr. Festivities will be held from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm, and proceeds will support local charities throughout Acadiana.

Registration for cooking teams will be held on the day of the event, from 8:00 am - 9:00 am, and categories include meat, poultry, seafood, and a kids division.

In addition to kids games, a fun jump,and Frisky the Lion, there will be live music provided by Les Bons Sons, Nicko's Crustacean's Band, and Brenda C and the Cajun Jammers. Admission is free, but wristbands for all you can eat rice and gravy will be $5.Other delicious refreshments will be on hand for purchase, as well.
