Ricki Lake Reveals Ex-Husband Christian Evans Has Died After Struggle with Bipolar Disorder

In an emotional social media post on Tuesday, actress and talk show host Ricki Lake revealed that her ex-husband Christian Evans has passed away.

The couple got engaged in August 2011 and eloped on April 8 the following year. The two would separate in October of 2014 and Lake filed for divorce a week later, citing irreconcilable differences.

However, in December 2014, they announced they had put their divorce on hold.

Lake began dating Evans, a jewelry designer, during the summer of 2010. At the time, she described him as a "normal guy. We met through my best friend. He’s a nobody but he’s somebody to me. He’s everything to me.”

The couple did not have any kids together. Lake has two kids with her first husband.
