The Rock 'n roll Hall of Fame has named its class of 2018. It makes me feel old to realize that the youngest band, Bon Jovi, has been around long enough to qualify. It's a requirement that an artist has to have released their first recording at least 25 years previous. Bon Jovi released their first album in 1984. The Moody Blues, conversely, released their first album more than 50 years ago, in 1965. The class of 2018 also includes one of my all time favorites, Dire Straits, the Cars, Nina Simone, Depeche Mode. Sister Rosetta Tharpe will be honored with a posthumous Early Influence award. Rolling Stone reports, the induction will be April 14th, at Cleveland's Public Hall.
