Shaquille O’Neal Joins Easton Corbin to Perform George Strait Song
It’s hard to say who looks happier in this picture, country newcomer Easton Corbin or future NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal. The big man surprised Corbin onstage in Orlando last Friday night, playing guitar on a cover of George Strait‘s ‘It Just Comes Natural.’
In the short video below, the Big Aristotle was able to keep up. He certainly seems to be a capable picker, but who knew Shaq was a country music fan? To date, Diesel has only shown off his hip-hop skills, or ‘Skillz,’ as it was in his 1993 music video.
Also pictured is O’Neal’s girlfriend, reality television star Nicole Alexander. The show took place at the Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando. It’s not known if O’Neal was there just to see Corbin play, or if he had other business to attend to.
It’s been a quiet few months for Corbin. After cancelling a series of shows in October, the ‘A Little More Country Than That’ singer seems to be feeling well. He tells the Augusta Chronicle that neck tensions forced him to takes some time off but he’s excited to be on the road again. He has one more show scheduled for 2011, a New Year’s Eve date in Arlington, Texas.
Corbin is also excited to be releasing new music soon. “I’ve written a lot of songs in the past, but I’ve only got two of mine on this new album,” he says. “For me [with picking songs for the album], the best song wins. I don’t care who writes the song as long as it fits what I do.”
