Single Ticket Claims Powerball Top Prize
The estimated jackpot was $150.4 million last night just before 10 PM in the multi-state lottery game Powerball. By the time the ping pong balls stopped bouncing one ticket sold for the June 20th drawing was entitled to take all of that jackpot home. Well, as much of the jackpot as Uncle Sam would allow them to take home.
A single ticket sold in Oregon matched all five of the regular ball numbers and the Powerball in last night's drawing. A single ticket sold in Texas came really close but only managed to claim a $2 million prize. That ticket matched all five of the regular ball numbers and had activated the Powerplay option.

With the big win, the Powerball jackpot will now return to its $40 million starting point for Saturday's drawing. Meanwhile the Mega Millions game, the other multi-state lottery contest, now has a jackpot worth an estimated $192 million for Friday's drawing.
