Spring is in the Air

Today, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 is the first day of Spring! I love this season because it brings more daylight, warmer temperatures and beautiful flowers. Spring is also known as "Spring Equinox" because there is equal amount of day and night. However, there are a couple of downsides to Spring. 

Unstable weather may occur more often during the Spring months due to the warmer temperatures colliding with the cold air from the polar regions. Flooding around mountain areas is common during Spring because the snow from the mountains is beginning to melt.  Also, tornadoes and thunderstorms are more common during Spring time. These storms are capable of producing large hail and significant damage.

Sorry if this has taken away your excitement. Regardless of the weather, Spring is a time of rebirth and rejuvenation. Animals are having their little babies and the flowers are blooming over night. Enjoy each season, y'all!
