Because of the coronavirus threat officials in St Landry Parish closed down the solid waste landfill several weeks ago. As conditions surrounding the coronavirus threat appear to be improving officials in St. Landry Parish have announced that the landfill will once again be open to residents as of this morning at 6 am.

The site will once again have compost and mulch services available. Those services will be available during normal operational hours of the facility. Should you choose to take advantage of the landfill or its services you are encouraged to proper safe social distancing techniques.

Residents are also reminded that the office at the landfill will remain closed to walk in and foot traffic. However, day to day operations will be monitored via telephone or by employees working remotely.
