Stars React on Social Media to Mindy McCready’s Death

Twitter and Facebook felt an immediate reaction from thousands of fans last night when the news broke of country singer Mindy McCready's death. The troubled country star apparently took her own life and died of a suspected self-inflicted gunshot to her head.

Mindy had tried to take her own life three times before, between 2005 and 2008.

Her death comes just a month after longtime boyfriend and father of her youngest son David Wilson also passed away. Wilson is believed to have shot himself on the same porch as McCready in the home they shared in Herber Springs.

Mindy is the fifth celebrity to pass away after appearing on the MTV reality show, "Celebrity Rehab" with Dr. Drew Pinsky, the third from her season.
