Student Arrested After Weapon Found At Beau Chene

A 17-year-old male student at Beau Chene High School has been arrested after a weapon was found on campus, according to St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office spokesman Deputy Chief Eddie Thibodeaux.

School administrators worked off a tip given to them and found the weapon inside a locker.

Shelton Celestine of Church Point is in the custody of the Sheriff's Office. He has been charged with Carrying a Firearm on School Property.

No one was harmed in the incident.
