Yahoo recently conducted a survey to determine the greatest TV theme song of all-time and "Gilligan's Island" cut down the nets. They did one of those March Madness-style brackets to decide the winner.

They started with 32 shows eventually whittling down to the "Final Four". The other three shows included "Cheers", "M*A*S*H" and "The Jeffersons".

In the final four, "Gilligan's Island" took down "The Jeffersons" while "Cheers" beat out "M*A*S*H". By the way, "Gilligan's Island" was one of the lowest seeds in its quarter of the bracket.

The tournament garnered a total of more than 277,000 votes.

Some of the other themes that were featured include:  "Laverne & Shirley", "The Andy Griffith Show", "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", "The Monkees", "The Golden Girls", "The Simpsons", "Three's Company" and "The Mary Tyler Moore Show".

Here's a visual of the bracket and how each show advanced.

Personally, I would've gone with "The Jeffersons" if I was a betting man with "The Golden Girls" my sentimental favorite.

How about you? What is your favorite TV theme song of all-time?
