'Swamp People' Star Among 3 Arrested in Louisiana Theft Case

BAYOU BLUE, La. - If you're a fan of History's Swamp People, you're probably going to recognize a name connected to a recent criminal investigation in South Louisiana.

William Edwards Jr., a cast member of "Swamp People" for 15 Seasons, was among three people arrested after Iberville Parish detectives investigated reportedly stolen materials at a home in Bayou Blue, Louisiana.

According to WBRZ, investigators obtained a search warrant for a Bayou Blue residence, and during the investigation recovered materials that had been reported stolen.

At this point it's not known what the stolen materials recovered are.

The case resulted in two felony arrests, along with a third arrest involving outstanding warrants.

‘Swamp People’ Personality William Edwards Jr. Arrested

William Edwards Jr., known as Willie on Swamp People, 43, was booked on felony charges of theft and illegal possession of stolen things, according to the Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office.

Edwards is known to Swamp People fans as part of the Edwards family, one of the South Louisiana families featured on the popular, long-running reality series.

In total, three people were arrested.

Elgin Floyd, 46, was arrested and booked into the Iberville Parish Jail on felony theft, illegal possession of stolen things and obstruction of justice charges.
Willie Edwards, Jr., 44, was also arrested and booked into the jail on felony theft and illegal possession of stolen things charges.
A third man, Trent Tullier, 43, was found hiding inside the residence and was arrested on outstanding warrants.

As with any criminal case, an arrest is not the same thing as a conviction. The charges against Edwards and the other 2 men arrested will have to make their way through the legal system.
