A race and retaliation lawsuit was filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission involving a Metairie, Louisiana Hooters location. According to the EEOC's lawsuit, "Hooters subjected African American workers to a hostile work environment". The Metairie employees said "offensive and demeaning remarks" have been made towards them since 2017.
Hooters just announced that they're opening a new chain called Hoots. It'll serve the same delicious food as Hooters but that food will be brought out by both male and female servers who aren't wearing revealing outfits.
Hooters, the restaurant best known for bodacious waitresses who flaunt their womanly assets, is undergoing a makeover that includes a new menu, updated decor and an attempt to attract patrons who normally wouldn’t be caught dead in the “breastaurant” — women.
