Tropical Storm Zeta has now officially formed in the Caribbean Sea and is on track to enter the Gulf of Mexico in the next couple of days before heading to the Gulf Coast.
At this point it's too soon to tell if this system will impact Louisiana, but the odds of this system becoming a tropical depression have just been increased to near 100%.
Meteorologist Scot Pilie' of WGNO posted to Facebook today with concerns over potential storm developments in the Gulf of Mexico. Pilie says that the system is something to pay attention to as it could begin to bring rain our way as early as Wednesday.
As Hurricane Delta takes aim at the Louisiana coast and all of Acadiana, the Lafayette Parish School System announces it will close all schools and facilities on Thursday and Friday.
