Healthcare officials in Louisiana believe the current vaccines will provide protection against mutated strains of the coronavirus.

The Louisiana Department of Health has a list of pharmacies where the vaccines are available in the state.

Starting next week, a network of about 100 pharmacies will start to receive limited doses of the Moderna vaccine.

The New York Post is reporting that Pfizer will seek approval from the government for an emergency vaccine on Friday. A representative of the pharmaceutical company says that if approved, millions of doses could be distributed within 24 hours.
