Hey my Dawg peeps! Hope you have not forgotten what's going down this weekend... Festival Acadiens et Creoles! It is going to be a weekend full of fun, food, and great entertainment so you better come!

Hurricane Isaac did minimal damage in Acadiana, which is a great thing. For the most part not too many events were cancelled. Other than a couple of postponed high school football games, the schedule did not change too much.

This weekend in Delcambre, Louisiana, it's shrimp, shrimp and more shrimp with the annual Delcambre Shrimp Festival! Well, there also might be a little bit of music and rides too.

Next week at this time we'll be heading to Baton Rouge to enjoy the Bayou Country Superfest. The annual Memorial Day weekend at Tiger Stadium always features the hottest acts in country music and this year is no exception. From Rascal Flatts to Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood to Jason Aldean, you can't beat that!

Downtown Lafayette is transformed into an entertainment complex featuring six music stages, food court areas, street musicians and animators, arts and crafts boutiques, art galleries, beverage stands, cultural workshops, international cooking demonstrations and a world music store.

The National Football League released the upcoming season's schedule and our New Orleans Saints again will prominently be displayed for the nation. The Saints have two home Monday night games, a Sunday night game and for the second straight year kick off the season on Thursday.
