Taylor Swift has been granted an order of protection against a man who has allegedly been stalking her since December of 2016.

Page Six reports that 29-year-old Mohammed Jaffar has been attempting to gain access to Swift's New York City apartment through a variety of official and unofficial means for months. The fan's inquiries first began in December, when he showed up at the singer's apartment building in Tribeca, requesting a face-to-face meeting with Swift, which was denied.

Undeterred, Jaffar would return four more times before finally being arrested on Monday (March 6). Alleged incidents include a Feb. 6 attempt to gain access to Swift by accessing her apartment building's roof, where Jaffar stayed from 10AM until 2PM, at one point even getting so far as the hallway directly outside of her penthouse apartment. Filed court papers also report that Jaffar returned to Swift's building on two separate dates to ring her buzzer for up to an hour straight in an attempt to draw her out. In addition, he also called Swift's management company 59 times between Jan. 27 and Feb. 16, trying to connect with her.

Jaffar was arrested on March 6 on stalking and burglary charges and is being held on a $20,000 bond. New York judge David Frey also signed an order of protection against the man, barring any contact with country-turned-pop star Swift.

This case is not the first experience that Swift has had with stalker: In 2014, she filed a restraining order against longtime alleged stalker Timothy Sweet.
