The Horse From Cal’s Western Store Has Found A New Home [Video]

For close to 60 years Acadiana has been seeing the iconic horse that sat proudly above Cal's Western Store on Johnston Street. Sadly Cal's closed their doors for good last year. Today however, it's been announced that the horse is getting a new home for everyone to enjoy for years to come.

KATC reports the Cal's Western Store horse will soon be located right across the street at Moncus Park at the Horse Farm.

Brothers and co-owners Jim and Gary Gautreau tell KATC "Knowing it’s not going to be there is kind of a funny feeling. But we’re so encouraged by what’s becoming of it, like where it’s going…to the park."
