The Stage Karaoke Bar in Lafayette to Open Soon

Lafayette is about to get its first-ever dedicated karaoke bar and we can't wait.

The Stage Karaoke Bar will be opening sometime in the month of January. It will be located at 5741 Johnston St Suite B in Lafayette (in the same building as GL's Mongolian Grill).

According to owners Jeramie and Rachel Kinnerson, the exact grand opening is still up in the air pending final inspections and permits, but they're hoping to open to the public sometime this month.

What can everyone expect from The Stage Karaoke Bar? Jeramie Kinnerson shared with us what he hopes folks will get out of his bar.

The Stage Karaoke Bar will be a cool and fun place where everyone can be a star on The Stage. I always said karaoke is not about how good you sound, it's all about having fun. That's what we created -- a place for you to come have fun and sing your heart out.

Kinnerson has been a karaoke host for years in the Acadiana area and will no doubt bring his extensive experience to this sure-to-be new hotspot in the Hub City.

We built a stage inside so the singer gets the spotlight. Each TV has the karaoke words so you can always sing along with the person entertaining. We are creating a fun vibe on our patio that will have Jenga, giant Connect 4, a pool table and more.

Patrons will also be able to grab a bite to eat at GL's Mongolian Grill, which is basically located in the same building.
