Three Louisiana Singers Move Forward on ‘American Idol’ [VIDEO]
Finally, a bit of good news in a very stressful week. We are always proud of our homegrown talent, and nobody ever doubts that Louisiana is a wonderful and unique musical home for many genres.
Even if you're not a fan of 'American Idol', it's always nice to know we have some folks from the great state of Louisiana represented. And let's don't forget that Livingston's Laine Hardy was the 2019 winner of the wildly popular talent competition. The production of the show is currently shut down due to the coronavirus epidemic, but several episodes were already taped and ready to go on the air. And we're happy to report that three amazing singers from the Bayou State have moved forward to the next phase of the show.
Jovin Webb of Gonzales, Faith Becnel of Destrehan and Robert Taylor III from Donaldsonville all got to particpate in Hollywood Week, and you can see video of them below. You can also read the recap of the Sunday and Monday episodes here. Good luck to our fellow Louisianians in the Top 40!
