There are a lot of reasons why so many people want to be musicians. There's the artistical value of it, the love for it, the fame, and oh yeah, the money!

Forbes just put out the list of the highest paid musicians of 2015 and pop singer Katy Perry topped the list, beating out formidable competition such as One Direction and Taylor Swift.

Perry raked in a whopping $135 million over the past 12 months, taking in more than $2 million per city on her Prismatic World Tour this year.

Country music is represented on the list as Garth Brooks came out of semi-retirement to play sold out after sold out show, putting him in third place with $90 million.
