Two Cajun Navy Groups Team Up To Help Again

They are always ready to help and rescue!

Members of America's Cajun Navy and Cajun Navy 2016 are once again helping out their fellow man. This time the group is coming to the rescue of people who need blood.

The groups are getting their members together to donate, and they are hoping that you show your support for them by donating blood this week.

The blood supply for United Blood Services in Lafayette is critically low, so members of each Cajun Navy group along with their supporters are donating blood today through Saturday, March 3.

It's easy to sign up to give blood. You can go to www.bloodhero.com to set up your appointment, you can call 337-235-LIFE(5433) or you can got to United Blood Services at 1503 Bertrand Drive to donate.

The same day that you go to donate, you can save yourself time by filling out your information for your "Health History Questionnaire at www.UnitedBloodServices.org.

So, why is blood needed?

Blood is needed to help patients in the hospital, people being treated for cancer and people who chronic health conditions.
