Two Firefighters Injured Battling Oakdale Blaze

Two firefighters were injured Saturday night while battling a blaze in Oakdale. According to reports, the fire was reported about 6:30 on Saturday evening. Fire crews responded to the call at a residence on Moward Street.

What exactly happened to the firefighters has not been disclosed but we do know that at least one of the injured firemen was sent to a hospital in Alexandria. That firefighter was expected to undergo surgery. There has been no update on the condition of that firefighter or the other fireman who was also injured in the blaze.

Oakdale Police say the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
