Fresh off its first national championship, the LSU Women's Basketball team had two of its players selected in last night's WNBA Draft.

Forward LaDazhia Williams was picked in the second round by the Indiana Fever. She was the seventh pick overall.

Then five picks later, guard Alexis Morris was selected by the Connecticut Sun at pick 22.

Williams only spent one season with LSU, averaging 9.9 points per game while shooting 55% and averaging six rebounds per game.

The 6-foot-4 forward was an integral part of the Tigers' National Championship run as she averaged 13.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in the NCAA tournament.

LSU was the third school for Williams. She spent two years at South Carolina and another two at Missouri.

5th-year senior Alexis Morris took a weaved path to Baton Rouge as well. She started with coach Kim Mulkey at Baylor in 2017 but was later kicked off the team.

She spent the next four years at Rutgers and Texas A&M, respectively, before landing at LSU for the last two seasons.

In her time with the Tigers, Morris started 59 games while averaging 15.2 points per game on 44% shooting from the floor and was 80-for-244 from behind the arc.

Morris was a star in the NCAA tournament, averaging 16.8 points and 3.8 assists per game.

In the National Championship Game against Iowa, Morris notched 21 points (19 in the second half) while adding nine assists.
