Two Northwestern State University Students Pass Away in Separate Incidents
The community of Natchitoches is mourning the loss of two Northwestern State University students who died on Thursday in separate, unrelated incidents.
The students were Samuel A. Taylor, 46, of Natchitoches and Michael Robichaux, 23, of Pineville.
University Police Chief Craig Vercher has said that foul play is not suspected in either incident.
The Natchitoches Parish Coroner's Office will conduct autopsies on both men to determine the cause of death.
Northwestern State president Dr. Chris Maggio said, “The entire Northwestern family is shocked and saddened by the sudden death of these students. Their families are in our thoughts and prayers, and the university will continue to provide assistance and support to the students’ friends and loved ones.”
