If you have kids in school these days, I bet you have been asked a time or two by them:  "Can you help me with my homework?"

And of course being the most awesome parent ever you puff your chest out and storm in thinking that it'll be a breeze because by golly, you did have a 3.5 GPA in high school and even took a few honors courses.

(Can you tell that just got personal?)

Chances are as you got half a question into what was confusing your kid and you yourself were even more dumbfounded by the level of learning that was taking place in your fourth grader's class.

It's okay, it appears to be happening to lots of parents. A new study found that two out of three parents say they can't help their children with their homework because it's too hard.

Half of the parents admitted to using Google to help their kids, without their kids knowing of course.

Here are the top 10 subjects that parents struggle with the most:

  1. Algebra
  2. Fractions
  3. Trigonometry
  4. The Pythagorean Theorem
  5. Ratios
  6. Roman History
  7. Long Division
  8. Civil War
  9. The Periodic Table of Elements
  10. The Formation of Atoms, Protons, and Neutrons
