As Acadiana gets preparations in order for Francine, as of now scheduled to make landfall as a Category 1 Hurricane, several Parishes have announced school closures.

UL and LSUE have announced closures as well.

University Of Louisiana Closing Due To Francine

In a message posted to Facebook, the University of Louisiana will be closing due to Francine.

"Due to forecast weather from Tropical Storm Francine, UL Lafayette will close at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, and will remain closed until noon on Thursday, Sept. 12. Please continue to check your University email for updates and details."

LSUE Closing Due To Francine

In a message posted to Facebook, LSUE will also be closing due to Francine.

"LSU Eunice will close its campus on Wednesday, September 11 and Thursday, September 12 due to the expected path of Tropical Storm Francine. The LSUE administration will continue to monitor the storms’ track and severity for any additional updates."
