UL Lafayette Looking for Volunteers for New Cajun Compass Program
Heads up Ragin' Cajuns. The University of Louisiana Lafayette, in conjunction with the Alumni Association, is in the process of launching a professional mentoring and networking program called Cajun Compass. The date for the launch has not been announced yet, but it will be available to all UL Lafayette alumni, students, faculty/staff, and supporters. This sounds like a great way to network with other Ragin Cajuns for jobs, and tips on employment. We could all use a little help sometimes, and what better way than to connect on a professional level with fellow Ragin' Cajuns. And it's not just for Lafayette, either. It will be accessible for any city or industry that has a Ragin' Cajun in it!
The University is currently seeking volunteers for the Cajun Compass beta test, and it's super easy to sign up. By volunteering, you'll be asked to fill out a set of three surveys, which will have step by step instructions. Once you've filled out the forms, you'll be contacted by someone from the Cajun Compass team to set up your account.
According to a press release sent out, once you join you'll be able to
- Share your professional experiences with students, friends of the University and other alumni
- Gain meaningful insights from resources and alumni
- Post your job opportunities on our job board
- Connect/Network with other UL Lafayette alumni in your city or industry
Any questions can be answered by contacting compass@louisiana.edu.
