United Cajun Navy Asking for More Volunteers, Water, and Gas as Search Continues
The United Cajun Navy is putting out the call for more help as they continue searching for the remaining missing crew members of the Seacor Power.
We spoke directly with Chad Fahnestock, Senior Director of Operations with the United Cajun Navy about an upcoming search taking place tomorrow at the behest of Mr. Scott Daspit, father of missing Seacor Power crewman Dylan Daspit.
Fahnestock tells us The United Cajun Navy is in current need of volunteers with Gator-Tail boats and airboats to help with tomorrow's coordinated search. The search will launch from the Harbor Light Marina in Cocodrie, 8239 LA 56 in Chauvin, La.
To volunteer and for more information, you can contact Chad Fahnestock, Senior Director of Operations with the United Cajun Navy by calling 1-225-421-4251, or you can contact Mr. Fahnestock on Facebook HERE.
Fahnestock urges that if you plan on helping in the search by walking the marches or participating in boat searches, you must bring your own lifejacket. If you don't you will not be permitted to take part in the search efforts.
Also needed are cases of water for volunteers as well as monetary donations to buy fuel for boats involved in the search.
Fahnestock says that once Seacor Power search efforts have concluded, whatever monetary donations are leftover will be divided between the 13 families of the men involved in the disaster.
