Scattered, Covered & Smooched: Louisiana Couple Enjoys Romantic Waffle House Valentine’s Dinner
It's one of the coolest Valentine's Day events and I finally know someone who experienced it firsthand.
You may or may not know about Waffle House's annual Valentine's Day dinner special, but it's pretty amazing. It's all the Waffle House goodness that you know and love, but with a special twist of love.
Kim Domangue and her husband Daniel decided to take the dive this Valentine's Day and see what their special dinner for lovers was all about.
You gotta get in quickly
A lot of folks want to experience the famous Waffle House Valentine's date night, but space is limited so Kim made the reservation a few weeks in advance.
Waffle House usually posts a list of participating list of restaurants in early February, and she made their reservation at the Watson location. I was surprised to see that three locations in the Lafayette area were also offering the special Valentine's Day experience.
What makes it "special?"
Upon their arrival, the couple got their picture taken on a dedicated backdrop.
The entire restaurant is decorated including lighting that serves up an ambiance of love in the waffle batter-scented air.
Speaking of waffles, two pink heart waffles are included in the dinner for two that are served at a candle-lit table.
The ridiculousness of it all is part of the experience
The words candle-lit and Waffle House are funny enough when you say them in the same sentence, but the silliness is what makes this V-Day experience so fun.
Kim says the staff absolutely loved it and was totally into the theme which made it super relaxing for everyone involved.
Love mission: accomplished
Kim said her husband Daniel's goal was for the night to end up "scattered, covered, smothered, and smooched."
Based on their photos, it looks like he got his Valentine's wish.
As far as Kim goes, she says it's "the fanciest she's ever eaten hashbrowns and would 10/10 recommend it for any couple looking for a fun way to spend their Valentine's Day.
Be on the lookout next Valentine's Day, and you could find love in a participating Waffle House.
