Walmart's $35 Holiday Meal Deal Available in Louisiana

Between the turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes, rolls, and everything else, feeding a house full of hungry relatives isn't exactly cheap.

Well, Walmart has announced something that might make your Thanksgiving shopping a whole lot easier. They've just announced they're bringing back its popular holiday meal basket for 2026, and this year's deal is even cheaper than last year's.

Walmart's $35 Thanksgiving Meal Deal for 2026

According to Walmart's official announcement on October 28, the company has expanded its holiday meal basket while bringing down the overall price.

This year's basket includes 26 total items representing 17 different products, giving families the ingredients to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving dinner without spending a fortune.

And yes, it includes a turkey.

Walmart says the basket contains 18% more items than last year's version, and those same items cost 12% less than they did a year ago.

And considering how expensive groceries have become, that's some pretty welcome news for Louisiana families.

What's Included in Walmart's $35 Thanksgiving Meal?

For $35, Walmart says customers can purchase the ingredients needed to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner for 10 people.

Butterball turkey, priced at 97 cents per pound
Stove Top turkey stuffing
Fresh russet potatoes
Brown gravy mix
Fresh cranberries
Green beans
Campbell's cream of mushroom soup
French fried onions
Dinner rolls

JIFFY corn muffin mix
Canned corn
Pumpkin pie ingredients
Whipped topping

The basket also includes the ingredients needed to make several traditional holiday sides, including green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, and corn casserole.

That's a pretty impressive spread for $35.

Of course, here in South Louisiana, Thanksgiving dinner might look a little different.

We're talking rice dressing, cornbread dressing, homemade gravy, maybe a smoked or fried turkey, and possibly a pot of gumbo somewhere in the mix. Still, at this price, Walmart's holiday basket could provide a pretty good starting point for a Louisiana-style Thanksgiving feast.

When Can Louisiana Shoppers Buy Walmart's Holiday Meal Basket?

Walmart says the holiday meal basket is available October 28 through December 24, 2026.

That means Louisiana shoppers can use the deal for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or another holiday gathering.

The basket is available at participating Walmart stores and online, with pickup and delivery options depending on your location.

Customers can also purchase the entire assortment through Walmart's website instead of having to search for every individual ingredient.
