There has been so much talk about how the NBA playoffs haven't lived up to the hype because everyone knew that it was going to be the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. The majority of the games throughout the playoffs had been blowouts and NBA fans were hoping that games would be more competitive in the Finals but that was not the case in game 1. The Warriors proved to be too much for the Cavaliers as they blew them out 113-91. The Warriors improve to 13-0 in the 2017 playoffs.

The 1st quarter of the game was a back and forth game and the Cavs were only losing by 5 points at the end of the quarter but the Warriors turned on a switch and just took the game to the next level. It was a Kevin Durant and Steph Curry show for the Warriors in game 1 as they set the tone for the entire game. Durant finished with 38 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists while Curry finished with a double-double as he scored 28 points, 10 assists and 8 rebounds.

Lebron James was the main source of points for the Cavs as he finished with a double-double with 28 points, 15 rebounds, and 8 assists but you can't win a game with just one player it takes an entire team to win a game. The Cavs had way too many turnovers, Lebron had 8 alone, and they gave Golden State a lot of second chance shots.

The Warriors and the Cavs will play in game 2 on Sunday at 7 pm CT and if the Cavs want a chance to win they will have to reduce the turnovers and play a team brand of basketball instead of a one man show.
