Well-known New Orleans personal injury attorney Morris Bart is recovering at home after contracting COVID-19.

The 67-year-old said Wednesday that he is coping well with his symptoms, which he described as mild.

Bart said he thought his low fever, cough and fatigue were just products of the sinus infections he often gets during springtime allergy seasons. But after a course of antibiotics didn't lick his issues, he said he was tested for coronavirus at Touro Infirmary in New Orleans on Tuesday and the results came back positive.

He says he has followed medical recommendations to remain isolated until he's recovered. Bart plans to work from home and keep in touch with members of his law firm through video conferencing.

"I am pleased to say I am very lucky," Bart told NOLA.com. "I should be well."
