Bars in West Baton Rouge Parish are having to close after reaching COVID-19 positivity rates above the State of Louisiana's limits. All on-premise consumption has been stopped until the percent positivity rate drops below the 5% mark for two weeks.

With West Baton Rouge Parish's positivity rate rising above 10% for two consecutive weeks, bars in the parish are required to close for on-premise consumption.

These bars must remain closed until the COVID-19 percent positivity rate falls below 5% for two consecutive weeks, according to WAFB's report.

With COVID-19 cases on the rise across Louisiana, more parish's could face the same fate as the percent positivity case increases throughout the state.
