What The Stars Will Be Eating at The Oscars Party
The 89th annual Academy Awards are tonight, and the dazzling dresses and jewelry will pale in comparison to the delicious cuisine at the opulent official After Party.
Celebrity Chef Wolfgang Puck is once again at the helm of the delectable and decadent menu that will be served at the Governor's Ball, which is the official post Oscars party of the Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
Over 1500 guests will dine on old favorites, and new items, like gold-dusted popcorn, sweet pea falafel, taro root tacos with shrimp and mango, spice gougeres with black truffle dust, parsnip agnolotti, mini chicken pot pies, Kobe sliders and gourmet pizzas.
There will also be Oscar-shaped smoked salmon matzos, 7,500 shrimp, 2,375 pretzels, and 4,250 pieces of handmade gnoccetti, over 20 pounds of caviar, made to order lava cakes, lobster corn dogs, waygu short ribs, and the famous solid chocolate mini Oscar statuettes. Whew!
And don't forget the beverages, which include whisky cocktails from Hilhaven Lodge and Piper-Heidsieck champagne from limited edition magnum bottles. And here's another bonus of being a guest at this special party, each guest will take one home! Director Francis Ford Coppola also designed two specialty wines from his vineyard, called Director’s Cut Russian River Valley chardonnay and Sonoma County Red.
All in all, a fabulous night, made even more fun with a menu of delightful morsels. Hooray for Hollywood!
