Which Fast Food Chain Has the Quickest Drive-Thru?
You ever get stuck in a fast-food restaurant line and ask yourself, "why do they call this joint a 'fast food' restaurant?" Then other times you feel like you're in a NASCAR race and all you're doing is making a pit stop!
A recent study got to figuring out which fast-food chain had the quickest drive-thru. They had people take about 2,000 trips to 15 different fast-food chains to compare.
On average, orders took 3 minutes and 46 seconds from start to finish. But which chain was the best?
Here are the top five:
- Wendy's - 2 minutes and 49 seconds
- Dunkin' Donuts - 3 minutes and 1 second
- Burger King - 3 minutes and 21 seconds
- KFC - 3 minutes and 24 seconds
- McDonald's - 3 minutes and 28 seconds
Which chain had the slowest? That would be Starbucks at just under five minutes per order. Understandable though given that they have to make virtually each order after you place said order.
Accuracy of orders was also something looked at in this study. The chain least likely to screw your order up is Carl's Jr.
They got it right 97% of the time followed by Chick-fil-A at 95%, Hardee's with 93% and McDonalds at 92%.
