For centuries, cardinals (red birds) have been synonymous with happiness, love, peace, beauty, the spirit of dead loved ones and generally the good things in life. In Louisiana, you will often hear someone say, "Oh look, a red bird. That means good luck". But for one Judice, La. family a persistent cardinal has given them no peace for over two weeks. The bird has been tormenting the family day and night.

Here is the cardinal watching everything the family is doing inside the house.

"This cardinal was so pretty and we thought we were so lucky to have it visiting us. But after two weeks of tormenting us, our thoughts have changed", said the homeowner.

The cardinal is flying into windows and doors full force. And when it's not flying into them, it watches everything the family does inside the house.

If we stand at the window, it will fly right at our faces. The only protection we have are the window and doors. It is not afraid of us at all. We have to run inside quickly with groceries or if we simply go outside. It will follow us in the house. -Homeowner

The bird will fly full force into windows over and over again. Day or night. Lights on or off. We get startled. You can be sitting having a cup of coffee and it'll come out of nowhere and slam itself into a door or window. We jump every time. -Homeowner

Suggestions for the family have been everything from "don't worry about it" to "shoot it". Someone even suggested trying to trap it and driving it far away then letting it out.

Barring a restraining order, If you have any knowledge of how this family can solve their over-bearing bird problem, please leave them a message in the comments.
