Wildlife Officials Looking To Lease Land For Dove Hunters
If you're fortunate enough to idle farmland or fields that will be available from the first week of September through the end of Dove season in Louisiana you could get paid. The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is currently searching for landowners that would be willing to lease their fields for hunting.
The fields can be as small as 50 acres or as large as 500 acres, of course, there are other criteria that have to be met but it could mean an extra $950 to $2500 in your pocket if your field qualifies.
Department of Wildlife officials says they usually have from one to five landowners that take them up on this offer every year. It's a great way to put some extra money in your pocket while your fields and pastures are sitting idle through the cold weather months.
If you'd like to know more contact the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and they will take it from there.
