Hurricane Matthew has come and gone but not after it left a path of destruction from wind, rain, storm surge and more. And as with all major natural disasters, the stories in its aftermath are wide and varied.

This next story is from the "I can't believe she did that" department.

A 55-year-old woman in Miami was worried about her Toyota Venza getting damaged by the storm last week. So she had a bright idea to keep it protected -- drive it straight into her house!

She and her fiancé took out their living room window, built a ramp, and then drove the car right inside.

As you may recall, the hurricane didn't really hit Miami. And now the couple are having trouble getting the car back outside.

Genius, right?
