The 13th Annual "Be a Heart Starter" free bystander CPR training event will be held this Saturday, May 4th at the Cajundome. There are two sessions, one at 8:00am and the other at 10:30am.

The event is suggested for anyone around middle school age and older.

Why is it important to learn to "be a heart starter?" It's simple. Four to six minutes is the window of opportunity for someone to act before it is too late, but fewer than one-third of cardiac arrest victims get CPR from someone nearby.

Learn this valuable tool and you will be equipped to possibly save someone's life someday.
