5th Annual Tour Du Teche This Weekend

It's the perfect time of year for the annual 'Tour Du Teche' - a 135 mile canoe and kayak race from Port Barre to Berwick, the best part? It runs right through the beautiful heart of  Cajun Country! Paddlers in the race will pass through four parishes, woods, swamps, cane fields, and a dozens of the small communities that make up Cajun Country here in south Louisiana!

The finish line, in Berwick, will host events on October 5th that include Arts and Crafts booths at 9 am,and delicious jambalaya dinners. Gone Pecan will perform from 10 am-4 pm, and The 2014 event will include a car show, a 50/50 raffle, door prizes, petting zoo and carnival style games. Fun for the whole family!
